Adding an Item Class

1. When you first enter the Item Class option a Select An Option window will appear with the following options:

• EXIT – Select EXIT to exit the Item Class option and return to the Item menu.
• ADD – Select ADD to add an item class.
• QUICK MAINTENANCE – Select QUICK MAINTENANCE to quickly change the item group description across multiple item groups
• PRINT LIST – Select PRINT LIST to print a list of item classes.
• A list of item classes defined in the system.

Scroll to the ADD option and press Enter to select.

2. At the Item Class field, enter a two-character item ID code. The item class ID code, can be alphanumeric and should be 1-9 or A-Z only; symbols should not be used.

3. At the Item Class Name field, enter a free-form text description to describe the item class.

4. Command options will appear:

• Add – Select Add to add the item class.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit without adding the item class. You will return to the Item Class field.

Select Add. If you are done adding item classes, press the Enter key to exit the option.
